Kerrie and Brian, Barn on Walnut Hill, Outdoor Woodland Magic

When I met Kerrie and Brian, it was at the Bearded Lady’s Jewel Box. It’s a bar I hadn’t heard of on Congress St. downtown Portland. It was a total look into who they are and looking back, it gave me complete insight into how cool these two really are! I couldn’t match a more perfect spot for them!

They are my kind of people. They love hiking, gardening, and elaborate dinner parties! Brian has some neat talents, like woodworking and welding. It shows itself in some of their wedding design! Kerrie is the sweetest person, always thinking of others.

Kerrie and Brian grew up not far from one another. It made perfect sense that they got married at the Barn on Walnut Hill because it’s right between their childhood homes.

Here’s a look into their wedding day:

Guests were greeted at the ceremony by beautiful music played by friends. Brian carried this into the heart of the ceremony by playing his guitar and singing to Kerrie, which melted so many hearts. While all this was happening, guests were passing their rings around sharing love and hopes for the newlyweds. It finished with tossing of dried flowers that Kerrie had grown and dried herself throughout the summer.

Cocktail hour couldn’t have been more wonderful. Some friends were playing games, while others were leaving notes on their old typewriters and others were chatting away over beverages made by the Danielle and her team at the Roaming Speakeasy. The smiles were endless!

Their wedding was an outdoor, woodland magic. The barn was adorned with farm tables, terrariums, and moss. There was a pig roast with all the fixings perfectly presented by Fire and Co. Dinner was lovely and ended with pies made from loved ones. The night, of course, ended with fun dancing from the perfect mix of music from a friend who has the best kind of DJ skills!
