Jenna and John | Harpswell Estate

Jenna and John live in Tennessee, but came home to John’s roots for their wedding. Their venue is a home that John’s uncle built on the most beautiful point in Harpswell. Guests were surrounded by stunning ocean views with islands in the background and lobster buoys dotting the horizon.

I’m so grateful I got to meet these two, their families, and the homeowners who shared their property.

The setup on their day had us working hard because we were battling the wind, which we knew to expect (luckily!). Nothing on the guest tables wanted to stay put, but we used our creative methods to force them in place as much as possible!

Their ceremony was on a peninsula that jets in front of the home and the two shared their day with 20 of their best friends at their side and their guests seated behind them. And following the kiss, their were cocktails in the breezy sun in weather that couldn’t have been more perfect. As dinner started, the newlyweds snuck off to dinner by themselves on the porch. I couldn’t imagine a more romantic way to spend your first meal being married. And then, dinner was extended beyond our plans because guests couldn’t get enough of the sunset. It’s hard to ignore when it’s staring at you the way it did that evening. The lighting couldn’t have been more perfect for these two to snag some extra photos with their photographer too!

These two had a blast dancing with their guests and enjoying the property throughout the day! They left with a fun sparkler exit that led them to a Bentley which swept them away back to Portland.
