The Planning Assistant will work on site at weddings, typically on Saturdays. You will assist with all setup, including tables and chairs, tablescapes, and decor. After setup is complete, assistants are expected to support the lead planner with any management during the wedding. And finally, you’ll tear down after the event is finished. These are 12 - 14 hour days.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Excellent communication skills;

Ability to work under stressful situations;

Professionalism when working with ALL staff and guests;

Attention to detail is a must, i.e. forks and spoons placed just right;

Maintains professional demeanor and confidentiality;

A positive, "can do" attitude;

A high level of motivation, commitment, follow through, and initiative.

Working Conditions:

This is a hands-on position;

Availability on weekends is required;

Climbing stairs, lifting, pushing, carrying, bending, reaching, standing and walking constantly;

Exposure to inclement weather including heat, wind, and rain.


You will work on projects requiring organization, creativity, and problem solving skills. You’ll work both in the office on administrative work and onsite on event days.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Works to develop and implement marketing plans;

Helps manage social media, i.e Instagram, Facebook, Pinterest;

Assists with batching blog posts;

Attends pre-event meetings with staff to receive information and expectations;

Organizes preparation for wedding days;

Assists with all event execution from start to finish: set up, service and tear down;

Coordinates with vendors during event planning and execution;

Maintains client and vendor correspondence;

Assists with implementing a creative plan;

Makes suggestions about improvements to events and office systems.
