New Year New Trends Coming In and Going Out!
When it comes to wedding trends the industry has seen it all. From ceremonies in churches to other venue options, tiered wedding cakes to dessert tables, meticulous unison bridesmaids to mismatched bridesmaid dresses, princess ball gowns to a dress for the ceremony and a wardrobe change for the reception.
For better or worse wedding trends are here to stay so here’s what we expect to see in 2024 and truly can’t wait!
Bows- this is my favorite trend of the season. I’m getting married myself in August and have tried on many dresses with attachable bows. The detail is just stunning and adds just enough flair without being overwhelming. Another way I’m loving bows is tied around glassware and in cake designs- check these examples out below!
Pearls- If you haven’t seen this trend yet- it’s simple yet sophisticated. My Pinterest board is chalk full of pearl inspiration. For wedding nails, veils, earrings, on shoes but my favorite of all is a pearl getting ready robe!
Pops of Color- Color is a huge trend we’re seeing in 2024. Maybe you want a bold color added to the neutrals in your palette, maybe you want to pull in colored goblets in your table settings, or maybe you’re all in for bold and bright in you bridesmaid dresses! Personally- I plan on adding lots of colorful elements in the form of citrus to my table scapes for my August wedding!

Dropped Waistlines- This style has been popular in past decades like the 1920’s so it can be a great touch to a vintage style wedding. Dropped waistline is a great option for brides looking to mix showing off their shape with flared elegance and because of that it is a great option for many body types.
Intimate Gatherings- There’s something about being surrounded with your small circle of people that brings so much warmth to your day. The act of being intentional with your time and energy this year is a huge trend in this on the go era of the world.
Dewy Makeup and Skincare Prep- We’ve seen a huge uptick in recent years of brides wanting to look like themselves on their big day. In simple terms- a minimal neutral make up look with radiant and dewy finishes and big lashes. Brides want to feel like they’re naturally glowing and will take the time to gets lots of facials and invest in good skincare for the months leading up.
Wedding Logo or Crests- I LOVE a wedding logo. This simple detail adds an incredible difference to your day. You can add it to menus, signage, favors, signature drink cups and cocktail napkins. Adding a consistent detail like a crest or logo makes your guests feel like it’s the brand for your love story and a seamless cohesive element to your wedding design.
No matter what trends you go with for your big day- make sure they feel true to you because that’s the only wedding trend that never goes out of style. 2024 is said to be a pretty lucky year for marriage due to it being a leap year which is said to be prosperous for couples and the digits add up to 8 which in the Chinese zodiac that symbolizes infinite love, so cheers to 2024 couples tying the knot! We can’t wait to celebrate you.
love, Marissa
