You guys. When it comes to your wedding, there are NO rules. Sure, you may be curious about tradition, but you don’t have to do what everyone else is doing. I’m giving you that permission right now. So many times, couples ask: What do you normally see?

Well I’m here to challenge you not to ask that question.

Sometimes, you may want to know what’s typical, but you don’t have to know. For example, take the processional order. Sure, there’s a “rule” but really, there isn’t. Anyone can be a part of that processional and it can be in pairs, in groups, and it can also just be YOU!

Do what feels right. Here are some areas to get you thinking:

processional order

flower girl and ring bearer

music selections

order of events

attire for your wedding party

your wedding party

games

beverages offered

food presentation

dessert presentation

Look at a few of these and bring them to your fiance. Without Googling the topic, look inside and talk through what you’d like. How do you envision it if you close your eyes?
