Kara and Johnny got married in early July after postponing their original 2020 date. After over a year of planning and replanning the weekend, we were met with an “It’s finally happening!” as they arrived at the property. The universe must have known how much love was put into planning this day, as the forecasted rain held off until everyone was inside the tent for dinner and the remainder of the reception.
Kara and Johnny were a blast to plan with! Kara’s smile is truly infectious and I absolutely love that about her! And the way they look at each other is an inspiration! During the planning process, they took risks all the while staying true to their style, and including adding so many little personal touches to their big day. From having a gelato station and the olive sprigs on the napkins, both an homage to the way they met in Italy, to the addition of their dog Teddy to the ceremony and the birch trees throughout, showing off their love of the outdoors! Even, the sea salt favors brought more of their Maine connection to the celebration.
With good food, good drinks, good dancing, and the best of company these two enjoyed every minute of their wedding- and so did we! And we especially loved catching the newlyweds sneaking off by themselves to the oyster bar after all their guests were in the tent!
