Bachelorette parties are all about the fun! There are so many things you can do; you can travel or stay put. You can have tons of friends join you or just bring your bestie. There can be an itinerary of every event or you can make it up as you go. The only thing that matters is that you have fun!
But, it can get stressful along the way. There are so many things to consider! So, here is a guide to help you plan the best bachelorette party!
Who pays?
It depends on what you want to do for your bachelorette party. If you want to have a fun night out with dinner and drinks, covering the bride’s portion of the bill is a nice gesture. However, if you are planning on traveling to a new place- paying for airfare and lodging, she may elect to pay her own way. But, all questions and decisions regarding this will come from the person planning the trip (usually the Maid or Matron of Honor).
Should I have favors?
Favors have become super popular in recent times, but they are totally not necessary. However, something cute and personalized that your guests can use is always a fun idea, and a great keepsake.
Can I invite guys?
Of course!! You can invite anyone you want, it’s your time to celebrate! It’s important to be around those you love, regardless of gender.
What about a joint party?
Yes! Joint parties can be especially fun if there is a trip involved. However, I would suggest still having some separate spaces to maximize your fun.
How can I keep costs down?
If you are wanting to travel, booking six months in advance can lower your costs. This is when alot of the better deals are. Another way is by using AirBnB and renting an entire house as opposed to hotel rooms- which can also be more fun!
Can my fiance be involved?
There are so many ways for your fiance to get involved! They can surprise you and pay for a night out or send flowers to wherever you are staying. Another option is for them to join you for a quick dance or drink! But really, your fiancé can be involved in any capacity that YOU want them to be.
What if I just want to have a relaxing weekend?
There are still so many options for you to consider. You don’t have to go out and party to have a great time. Take your friends to a spa or the beach- or both even! You can spend time outdoors: glamping or going to an adult summer camp! What is most important is that you customize your party to fit your needs!
DO’s and DON’T’s
Do what the bride wants! Remember this weekend is for her, so make sure you keep the drama at home.
Don’t over schedule your time together. Go with the flow and adapt the plan to fit everyone’s moods, specifically the bride!
Do have a backup plan! If the pandemic has shown us anything, its this! Always, always, always have a backup plan ready to go.
Don’t underestimate cost of the weekend. Budgeting is important so you can see what you can splurge on and what you should save on.
Do ask about social media permission/etiquette. Is there a hashtag you want attendees to use? Are there preferences about pictures/videos during meals and activities. There are both things that should be discussed before your party.
But most importantly, have the best time celebrating before you embark on a new chapter in your life.
